雙頻道影像以日治時期日本政府、展覽評論者，以及內地與本島美術家的散文式獨白貫穿，並萃取近現代繪畫中的作品用色。透過畫作、色彩與語言的交互，建構出話語之外的感知場域。
作品以「聲音劇場」作為敘事核心，透過臺灣近現代美術對色彩與風景的觀察、描繪與辯證，呈現繪畫實踐中自我與他者、地方與現代之間的主體性探索與複雜交織，反映時代對色彩與視覺經驗的多重建構。
本作中文旁白節選自顏娟英著作《風景心境：臺灣近代美術的人・言說・記憶》。
The dual-channel video adopts a prose-like monologue from the Japanese colonial government, exhibition critics, and artists from both Japan and Taiwan, while extracting the color palettes of modern paintings. Through the interplay of artworks, colors, and languages, the installation creates a perceptual field that extends beyond verbal discourse.
This project centers on a sound theater narrative, exploring how Taiwanese modern artists observe, depict, and reflect on notions regarding colors and landscapes. It reveals the complex interplay between self and others, as well as locality and modernity, and the process of probing into the agency of these elements. In doing so, it highlights the multiple constructions of color and visual experience shaped by the era.
